IRMF is recruiting new Board of Trustees Members

Islington Refugee and Migrant Forum (IRMF) is looking for new members to expand its board of trustees. IRMF is governed by five trustees and an associated member all elected in the IRMF Annual General Meetings.

IRMF Board of Trustees is looking forward to recruiting representatives of the wider refugee community in Islington bringing new skills and experience to the Forum in the areas of fundraising, monitoring, marketing as well as shaping public policy.

IRMF Board of Trustees meets quarterly in VAI, 200 A Pentonville Road and it acts as governing body that ensures IRF does what it sets out to do. During the pandemic, the IRMF board of trustees has been meeting monthly on Zoom.

In line with the IRMF Constitution, the maximum of the trustees is eleven members. All trustees wish to stay in post for six terms (one term being the period between Annual General Meetings) must stand down for at least twelve months before being eligible to stand.

IRMF reimburses the trustees travel expenses if they wish to claim it.

We would be delighted to receive applications from representatives of refugee community organisations based in Islington who serve refugee communities in this borough. The board of Trustees would ensure that 2/3 of the members are from refugee – led organisations.
