One of the IRMF core purposes is encouraging networking with members though regular meetings that enable them to share common good practices, values and experiences and available resources.
Local organisations have been managing to meet and exchange ideas and update each other with useful information. These organisations usually raise and debate on issues affect their beneficiaries including: -
• Main barriers for refugee and migrant organisations and local residents
• Challenges of inequalities and discrimination
• Policies, procedures, scarcity of resources, survival and sustainability
The IRMF forum members usually meet quarterly and sometimes we skip if the network meeting coincides with other events or training that members need to attend. Through the meetings, local organisations building confidence, identify need and address service gaps in service-provision, share expertise and experiences from each other.
